STRIDES FOR STROKE WALK, Saturday, October 22, 2011
Come on out and support the Walk on Saturday, October 22nd! All are welcome to participate. Raising funds is optional.
Of course, this walk is very dear to my heart because on December 23, 2010, I suffered a stroke on the right side of my brain. As a 40 year old male, I think it is important to get the word out in the community of responding quickly and don't ignore any warning signs! I consider myself to be very blessed because of my quick healing and recovery. The staff at Baptist East were absolutely incredible and I will forever feel indebted to them all. My life has changed now. I am a nonsmoker! I don't seem to be running around all of the time anymore. I lead a balanced life between work and play. I am more relaxed.
The Walk will be held at Brown Patk (behind Baptist East Hospital).
